Hello and welcome back to JaeBDub Music + Entertainment. Our feature song for today is from yesterdays new addition to the list "Artists to Look Out For". What I've been doing in my last couple of posts is reaching out to the various artists on that list, and if they responded they were featured on the track of the day. Well Pixel Fist did just that so here we are. Pixel Fist is a newer project from Audio, Mackie, Lorne and Stapleton MC.
Lets jump into this track. Today we have Tweaky by Pixel Fist. This tune has an extremely electrified bass, and I love it! Another part that I have a tendency of liking in most songs is the girls sample that accents the song. I just love girls in drum/dubstep. The coolest part about this song is how the pace of the drums switch, they have a drum and bass breakdown in the middle of the song, but during the bass drops, kick, snare, kick, snare. I thoroughly enjoy switch ups, they keep music entertaining and non repetitive. Don't forget to check to check out both their Twitter and Facebook... both links can be found in the previous paragraph. Also, subscribe to stay up to date with my posts in case you miss them on Twitter and Facebook!
Hello and welcome back to JaeBDub Music + Entertainment. Another Spotify treasure find for everybody today. AAA is actually something completely unique. We've all heard of Christian Rock, Pop, and etc... but dubstep?!?! Well I'm not here to convert anybody, and I'm not going to reveal my beliefs either, but I love the idea and the thought of connecting with the generation. As music progresses we should expect stuff like this to show up and it's honestly exciting when it does. These are the innovators.
Lets get into the track. Get Out (AAA Remix) - Filth Collins. I've been sticking with fast paced songs lately and I don't really know where this came from. I love the excitement of this track, the noises are off the wall but yet condensed in a closed tight space. You end up saying "wow did that really just do that?", but then it completely fits. Its like a rubiks cube... it doesn't make sense until it fit works itself out. Then you are like WOAH! The production quality speaks for itself so give it a listen! Don't forget to subscribe!
Hey guys! Welcome back to JaeBDub Music + Entertainment. Today we have another fast paced banger for you! Yay Drumstep! The featured song is by Calvertron and MC Messinian. The fact that I love this song isn't the reason I'm featuring it today. Messinian is featured on my Artists to Look Out For list and I reached out to all the artists on it. Two replied and so they will be taking the next two spots on my daily dose of dubstep. Messinian and AAA thanks again!
The song I bring to you today is Prototype by Calvertron and MC Messinian. There are several reasons I love this song. So lets go down the list. 1. I love the Drum and Bass feel | 2. The intro is exciting and unique | 3. Messinian knows how to lay down vocals in a genre that only uses samples if any at all | 4. The drop is so great! I picture this "Prototype" on the run in a classic desert car chase scene | 5. OMG The Breakdown! So good it deserves a title and caps. Don't forget to subscribe!
So that being said... big uuuuuup Messinian!
Hello! Welcome back to JaeBDub Music + Entertainment. This track I also uncovered via Spotify. I can't tell you how much I absolutely love Spotify; it just makes finding new music and keeping track of it so easy. Download it right from Facebook and share with your friends! Once again the featured track is a remix, but this time the original track is amazing unlike track #1. I'm not intentionally dissing the the original track of #1, because the origin of it made me realize how truly great a remix it is. Ok... so I seem to stray on every blog post and never end up telling you the track until... well now! Track #3 is Superheroes (Twist Remix) - Quartus Saul. The Album More Heroes also includes remixes and collaborations from Tim Ismag, Messinian, and Helicopter Showdown. There are four names here that are included in the Artists to Look Out For list found on my blog. Let me say that again... FOUR! Either I'm hinting something, or this album is truly amazing. Find out for yourself.
Now to the song. By the way Twist is so incredibly hard to find anything about. No Facebook or Twitter that I can find. I did find a Myspace, but who is on that anymore? I'll tell you who - people from the UK that are hard to find... duh! Anyways, I love the feel of this song. It's a total party jam because of the speed, bounce in the bass, and you get some lyrics. The bass pattern is absolutely amazing. If this doesn't get your blood moving then you must be deaf. I do have one negative about this track, and I hate to include it but it has to be done. Right before the drop Twist goes a little crazy with the kick. Even though it pans out to be an amazing drop. The drum roll is perfect for this drop. Don't forget to subscribe!
Hi and welcome back to JaeBDub Music + Entertainment. Today I have a little gift for you. Once again I found this artist over Spotfiy and I'm so happy that I did. The artist I'm featuring is Terravita, which I proclaim to be my new personal favorite. If you are wondering who Terravita is (just like I was); they make up the same line up as Hot Pink DeloreanLike their Facebook for free downloads. Chris Barlow, Jon Spero and Matt Simmer of Boston have spent much of their recent time as alterego Terravita, trading house for drumstep. They are currently signed with Rottun Records, and completely fit in with the filthiness that is "Rottun".
Alright to finally get to the track. My #2 feature track is "Lords and Ladies". The second you click play you will realize why this is a unique track. The medieval feel (what I call "Runescape" music) adds such a flavor to the song. I picture Kings and Queens, all sitting with their mugs and roasted pigs, yet suddenly erupting into this flurry of dance and laughter. A few jesters have plugged their instrument into a synth, and a flying pig makes its way from one side of the floor to the other as if they were playing volleyball. All of this is one song. Don't forget to subscribe!
So lets makes this song into an equation
Now to get into a little bonus section just because I love Terravita so much. So what you are going to do is click the link in the last sentence. When you do that you are going to like their page so you can get a couple downloads. I left this out of the top section because I wanted to make sure you got a taste of what Terravita is. To make sure this goes to memory I have ONE more song for you to check out. Which is actually one of the free downloads you get for liking their page. 1. It doesn't have the uniqueness of the first track but it makes it up with get you out of your chair energy | 2. Fat and exciting bass | 3. They love intros | 4. I just love the bassline | 5. It actually has a switch up in the intro... I mean hell yeah! | 6. Lastly I love the pads and synths. Now that I have you intrigued I can release the title, "Total Solar Eclipse". Prepare for this one.
Alright, this is my first blog. My goal is to bring anyone that wanders in here a sense of what music I listen to. More importantly to explain why I believe the videos and songs I post to be so appealing. I'd like to keep it brief so we can get right to the music. To start it off we have an artist I recently discovered via my new love, "Spotify". Tony Anthem and Axl Ender invited several artists to remix the song "Time (Feat. Skibadee and Lady Chann)". From out of seemingly nowhere (well at least for me) Sonwah Fresh produces a killer remix. I've looked up more of their or his/her work, and I really can't find anything comparable to this remix. The intro is top notch, the bass is heavy but doesn't saturate the song, and that first "TIME" after the bass drops is B.A.. The beat is hard, it's fast, it gets me out of my chair and into someones face (or if nobody is around the wall works just as well). It's just so good, but enough talk lets get it in! Don't forget to subscribe!
My hometown Aurora, CO was an amazing place but wasn't taking me where I wanted to be. I had a dead end job, lost interest in school, hobbies, and honestly even music. One day I decided that I needed a change, and the only way to get that was to get as far away as possible. My mother had recently expanded her business from Boulder to Asheville. So I decided to learn the trade and start interning. I was thrown onto social media jobs (tweets, Facebook, posting on calendars). Not the most fun, but I have learned from it. I ended up landing another internship with a company called Spark Tech Talk. I high stepped right through the front door (or slightly exaggerated) and tried to wow them. I was able to transform conference calls to clarity. One of our main speakers that Spark has interviewed is the one and only Steve Wozniak. The caliber we try aim to interview are the pioneers of today. The innovators, intellectuals, thinkers, movers, shakers, bloggers, tweeters, revolutionaries, inventors, and even newcomers if they have the spirit. I recently became promoted to audio engineer at Spark TT. Now to make a fortune over the internet!
